Dear players,
We are proud to announce that TehGamers is back !
After lots of thinking and planning, we have decided to give you again the nostalgic feeling of 2008.
Two servers will start: 2.9 Secret of the Empire and later a Interlude Remastered.
On the 12.02.2021 at 21:00 GMT +2, be ready for epic raids, massive battles and fierce competitions for all sorts of rare and valuable rewards.

It does look a bit suspicious but I'm not sure what could be a foul play here - managing two server starts at the same time sounds like a bother.

But it would be epic lulz if it turned out to be same server just with people coming from two sites :mrgreen:

Hahaha that would make for some pretty hilarious scenarios.
I was rather thinking that maybe some files were leaked or something, just so I could 'borrow' and take a look at them :D

Ah that's more likely... btw. you're into making servers as well? Have you had any launched projects yet?

No, but as a programmer I enjoy toying with random code in my spare time, including L2 server files. Downloading an L2j pack, seeing how it all works and modifying various small bits is quite entertaining to me.

I haven't launched any servers because I simply don't have the time to commit to such a project. Especially since it would be for free, I'm not about to open L2 servers for money; maybe some cosmetic donations to cover the running costs but that's it.
I was actually speaking about this idea recently with GS, but the truth is that there's generally lots of testing to be done if you're going for packs which you find for free lying around - never mind the potential fixes as they tend to be riddled with bugs too.
IIRC even the C4 PTS leak has exploits in it, and that's L2Off which is very hard to modify. In fact it makes L2j look like a walk in the park.

Honestly something which would be low effort isn't completely out of the question. Something like a random instant PvP server where you don't care about NPCs and quests, just the core game mechanics. That would be easier to do, and maybe we'd do it sometime. Maybe on a niche chronicle like C5, in order to remind people how shitty they thought Interlude was when it launched.
