I'm an old timer (started playing back when Scions of Destiny was a novelty) looking to come back to the world of Lineage II.
As I was looking for a place to start, I noticed that these days most servers tend to only last a couple of months before admins either shut the whole thing down and run to a tropical island with the money or do a full wipe so here's my question: Is there a mid/high rate server that would be worth playing on? (By mid/high I mean anything that is between 50 and 300x XP and where getting decent gear won't take more than, say, a month of active farming).

I'm not looking for a community that will be disbanded in a couple of months from now, I'm not looking for empty servers where the only "human interaction" is trying to prevent bots from stealing your targets nor for any that feature custom items or gameplay elements that wouldn't be found in the original game. If I were allowed to be picky, I'd also like to find a server that has an active English speaking community (although I'm not hoping for that to exist, since even the official forums have been taken over by the Hispanics). Any Chronicle up to H5 would be okay, although I'd love for it to be a C6 server.

Does this place exist? I know that Lineage II was officially declared a dead game when both the Classic projects turned out to be an utter failure, but am I still allowed to hope for a nice server or should I just give up and move to another MMORPG?

I don't see it as either-or, there is a number of interesting (well, at least to me) newer MMORPGs, of which you can try to pick one and go easy - while waiting for a reply here or checking some suggestion (hint: don't expect miracles).
