1) General Informations
Due to the nature of our features, we always run the latest chronicle from L2JServer.
This means we are High Five.
L2Retro is a total new dimension in the L2 experience. After years of working together and playing a wide range of different private servers, our team found a good recipe for the most engaging lineage 2 experience.
We aim to offer a good server, with good and respectful people, merging PvP and PvE in a way noone ever attempted to. We have a lot of core side modification to enrich the gameplay. Our devs developed a lot of tools which allow us to balance the PvP and modify any side of the server in real time and without server restart.
Our dedication and passion for server developing and community creation is what made us create this.

2) Rates
Giving "numbers" for rates is completely pointless in L2Retro. We designed the server so that a player need a fixed amount of time to do certain things (level up, getting equipment etc).
Description for rates will be given in "words" instead of "numbers".
The server will be presented as a 1000x server in Hopzone and other sites since the main pourpose is PvP.
Exp: High, around 15 minutes to get to level 85. This time is needed to show you all the server features while you levelup. Popup will be opened when you level up with the description of the most important features
SP: High
Adena: not that important. We have custom currencies to buy your equipment and all other things from gmshop
Drop: custom
Quest: not that important, certification quest will be really fast.
Enchants
This will not be a random star wars server. None of our team members like servers with +++ items in no time.
Enchants will NOT be available in GM Shop but only from spoil in custom zone and drop from raid boss zone.
Normal: 66% (max +16)
Blessed: 76% (no weapon break)
Divine: 100% (EXTREMELY hard to get, there will be only few going around because are EXTREMELY hard to get)
3) Farming
We have 1 single zone (more will be added as the population rises) with 4 different type of mobs:
Easy, Normal, Medium and Hard
Additionally, Talking Island is the RB zone
Whole Talking Island is filled with more than 300 different raidbosses waiting for you
3.1) Economy
The economy runs on 3 different main items plus 1 occurency for event rewards. These items are needed for equipment upgrade (see below for more details) and item enchanting (see below for more infos)
The private shops (/vendor) will use the most important currency which is used to buy and upgrade the equipments. Adena will be used for general goods (SS, potions, scrolls, arrows etc...) and for some special items.
4) PvP
L2Retro is a totally new way of PvPing. We have custom "PvP experience" which is used to level up your PvP.
This exp is used to enchant Elegia equipment (armors, weapons and jewels) from +0 to +10 (more informations below) and to unclock the unlocks (more info below). Players will be encouraged to PvP (but not forced!) to get various benefits from the game.
4.1) Unlocks
Unlocks are special bonuses that players can get from PvP experience. Unlocks increase drop rate, includes various commands (like dressme) and give additional bonuses that you can find in the unlock panel by typing ?stat
All of the unlocks are tested and designed to keep the balance in PvP which is our server priority all the time!
4.2) BeeEngine
The BeeEngine is a development tool (created by our dev , not available to anyone else) which allows the team to do adjustments to skills and classes IN REAL TIME and without server restart. More informations on this system (with all the available commands for players) can be found ingame.
Players can "suggest" balancement to admins via BeeEngine: admins will review them and decide to apply or not. This is a step in the future for PvP balancement.
4.3) Mana potions
Mana potions are disabled in PvP. You can't take them if you are flagged and you are in combat stance.

4.4) Buffs
We aim to provide the best pvp experience. For this reason, we'd like to have a server with every class played. Our NPC Buffer contains a lot of buffes but misses some (resiste fire/earth/water/wind, Counter Critical) which are left to be used from players. Those buffs (and some others) are lowered in time so that an active buffer is needed when having PvP (same goes for certain songs/dances)
5) Equipment Upgrade
Getting equipment in L2Retro is different from other servers. You can "buy" equip only up to Vesper. Higher grade equipment is obtained by upgrading vesper to higher levels. The GMShop will show you the required items for the upgrade.
ATTENTION!: To upgrade a weapon, remove the SA first (use GMShop aswell)
Enchant and elements will be saved!
6) Enchanter©
The GearShop is a special NPC that allows you to put a SAFE enchant on an item. Please read the rules carefully!
1) You can safe enchant only up to +10. You need scrolls from +10 to +16
2) Safe enchant price rises. Going from +9 to +10 costs WAY more than going from +1 to +2
3) GearShop requires PvP experience and other currencies.
7) ShipHalls©
Probably one on our most wonderful features! Get your own FLYING ship and drive it all over the world of Aden!
Park it on farming zones, outside towns, make your own Scroll of Escape to go back on your FLYING ship.
Clan leaders are the only one who can drive a ship with special commands.
8) Clan, Castles, Fortresses
These aspects have been completely remodeled and improved in fun and bonuses. Getting castles and fortresses will grant you bonuses in farming and PvPing and will give special tools to great leaders and those who can prove themself to be reliable and kind with players. Playing with your clan has never been so funny
Fame point and clan reputation points have been increased to avoid boring camping inside fortresses and creation of useless academy chars.
9)Staff
Our staff is made by trusted people with lot of experience both in developing and playing.
No GMs will be recruited from outside. The staff is only the one from our trusted team!
Each one of us has a precise porpouse on server design.
