Everyone who is using Rpg-club patch, check your Hosts file in Windows directory. You are being censored.... Rpg-club patch (fix.exe file) modifies your Hosts file while including 184 sites of other l2, wow and aion servers and way more as bad sites and when you try to access any of those sites, you are being redirected to rpg-club website.

"Nice and honest marketing" It seems that nowadays you do not have a right to choose what you like, sever does it for you...

P.s. I am not sure if the old patch does it as well but the new one definitely has this "feature".

Well, it was the first time I have ever saw such methods used... I have never thought that rpg-club is so afraid of competition to take such actions It seems a bit drastic to me... 184 sites are quite a huge number. Maybe a good idea also would be to block all sites which include information about l2, such as ellebely for example Imagine what would happen if people knew that rpg-club has some bugs left?....
Anyway, I added my comment to those who have no idea why they are always redirected to rpg-club while trying to access other pages but I have to apologize if you all know and it does not bother you. I am sorry then, I have wasted my time. Good luck to rpg-club too

Maila i don't think they did it cause of being afraid of "competition", there is no serious competition atm. Maybe with those leaked freya scripts there might be a server that will make good use of them and turn into some strong competition. But after seeing dex building an l2j server with info from those files, i kinda doubt it... but who knows.

Anyway, this was a retarded thing to do, although for me it never activated, it just downloaded the "fix.exe". But you know what the problem is? There is no viable alternative out there for the serious clans, not one that can compete with the quality offered by RPG club. Lagless server with over 4-5k. online, identical gameplay to retail thanks to *perfect* files ( retail bugs included ;[ ), no interference of admins ingame, close to no censorship on forums (which is odd, seeing we're in russia and all) and now, thnx to freya leaked files, they even started fixing the few bugs from the PTS files until they finish Freya.

So, as you see, the occasional "random" or small clan might be bothered by this and swayed away from playing RPG, but the rest (in someone else's eyes, the "retards") and specially big clans, will rather play on an almost flawless server and delete a file once a year then then move to some bug land. YES! Compared to retail or rpg, every other server out there is a bug land. And don't turn this into a "only for files", i said above there many other reasons to play on RPG.
