Hello ppl, im new here and i have some questions about tanks. Im not new in l2, but, i never used a tank class before. ( i use to play with nukers and archers), but i always love the "Knight class".

I will play in a GF off server. I need your help to decide between this 3 clases

- SK
- TK
- Pala

I don't like the DA, so i didnt put it on the list.

I read so many posts about this classes, but i cant find the right one for me ..

IMPORTANT: I want a tank wich could be usefull tanking and pvping (more in mass pvp), and it must be a little hard to play (i like chalenges).

All the Ppl tell me, that if i want a real tank, i must not choose the pala, because they say that is easy to use, and its for beginners (i that this is not correct), and that if i want a real challenge in pvp, it must be a TK or SK ... (actually ppl said to me that the human races is for noob :S:S)

But i read in other sites (and here too) that "TK hits like a girl", i mean, he is only usefull for tanking but for pvp/mass pvp is not so good (just because his low dmg)

And about the SK, the opposite to the TK, hits very hard, but is not a "real tank" ...

Pliz help me to decide, because the server has started and i dont want to waste time :D:D

this are basics that you should know, but better take paladin, its easiest tank to play and you dont need to be good player to kill alot ppl in oly.

TK is other good tank for oly and maybe mage pt, but if you want to do dmg with it this tank is not for you. You will curse your life if you should XP TK without non stop party

SK is good for XP 79+ and good for fighter melee pt (not destro).

Paladin have big survivability, but do less damage(than SK). Have very good buffs and if you know how to combine them you can be very strong - have flame icon (which gives good p.atk/atk.speed/def/crit.rate) and is good for starting pvp, because you decrease enemy CP/HP very fast, also when enemy down ur HP under 30% you can use ur angelic icon(also gives p.atk/atk.speed/crit. rate) and you can combine it with heal skill(heals around 4-5k HP)+shield of fate(gives very big p.def/m.def and you can move normally). It's very good for tanking and solo/mass pvp(when fighter party) and i think it would be the best choice for you.
SK does more dmg than paladin. SK make big crits, have many debuffs - decreases in p.atk,p.def,accuracy and also have paralyze which is very good skill when you enchant it. SK's Spirit of shillen(SoS) is better than paladin's flame icon, because it gives more p.atk (that's why ppl preffer SK for raids then paladin). Also with SoS (depending on server) when you have vampiric buff you can full your HP from enemies like destro/gladi and sometimes from other tanks. I think this tank is better in pvp than paladin, but is a bit harder to play.
I haven't played TK but i think it's not good tank as other 2, so i don't suggest you to play with it.
Go with paladin, you will like it. if you want some tips write me :).

half of what you say is right, half is wrong. All tanks have shield of fate.
I dont think SK make more dmg than paladin its almost same. SOS give close to Flame icon atack bonuses + 40% vampirik and thats why SK is good for any fighter melee or solo XP, paladin flama icon give same fighting stats + Pdef and M def, without vampirik efect and for that destros take paladin when its possible in their pts for raids.

st , well is more like a dd with aggro and uds... strange, sos is the signature

paladin if u have cp, U WILL LOOOOVE HIM, so easy to play, so effective, so good at oly
he was lacking smart cubic and good nc gave phoenix bird a cleanse ability
he has op heals with no mp
he has icons...EVERYTHING SOOO SMOOTLY!!!

da u said u dont want but still is funny char
if mass pvp only think he can do that pala cant is...slow? (and cancel later)
well slow is shit but cancelling healers may give the pvp a different angle
like tod and crusher and voila healer is out of songs dances and last buffs (and if u manage to do while muse and dancer are buffing, u might get some combo buffs out) and return skills can be funny

anyway to conclude, i dont care about effectiveness
but when it comes to fun

TK is the easiest tank to play. Go for pala better if u like a bit of a challenge but for me the best tank is HK :)

this are fundamentals that you just need to know, but a complete great offer better hold paladin, its simplest tank to hold out as well as you dont should be great participant to kill alot ppl in oly.
