Hi guys! This isn't a QQ post, I have no archers, but I was thinking about general overview. Today archers really sucks on pvp 'cause range nerf?

I remember in older chronicles they rox -> high dps

alone they suck, but proper archer pt pwn nuker pts with ease, arbalesters ftw ;>

I dont think they suck, but they arent OP like before. Stacked archers are still awesome in mass pvp. They still have the highest crits with lowest risk (no mp cost, outrange nukers etc). Ofc u need rly good archers to beat nukers with decent equips, but a party of archers fully buffed with OE dyna/vesper gear and full boss jewels is smth u definitely dont wanna face in any chronicle

The thing is, ppl were used to go with their DB focus and AQ, get clan hall buffs and 500 cp pots press F1 on everyone and pwn. They cant do that now cause the game is more balanced, a nuker or dagger can easily drop an archer with equal items. And thats how it should be. If u think about it, archers are warriors who stand back and shoot arrows, they sit behind the walls and the catapults and the infantry and support their attack. They used light vests so they could move fast and position themselves in the battlefield. They were never meant to be fighting face to face with the enemy. If u wanted to be in the front of the battle smashing some heads u took an heavy armor, a shield and a spear, not a bow

Well, yes archers are quite good in some stiuations but I have to admit that they are a bit underpowered compared to the rest of the classes and on olympiad is very very hard to do something with archer unless you have better gear and skills enchant than your opponent. As a dagger i don't find any problem fighting an archer, and i can fight even 3 at the same time with UE or GW they just can't do anything. IMO they are only good in late game with most of the good skills +30 like stun and good epic gear, that could give them a little boost 'cause of high land rate of stun. Even in full party, they die quite easy and meele parties should eat them.

Takes me 1 minute to understand every frame of a lotr battle scene (its a good thing)

archers with high speed + p. atk can pwn any class! even a dagger!
i played at high rate server and when a dagger use to attack me, i just used skill attack because its BETTER and HIGHER dmg on them, if i used normal, 1/10 hit may success, remember to enchant it!

neah seriously now, archer sux nowadays. it's no more Interlude when archer could pwn, things got different now and archer lost his edge. But with high five updates (2 new skills imba power) things may get back to normal.

Looks like you never fought a good archer. Arbalester can easily deliver you some 2-3k dmg shots and outrun you with warp and a regular archer won't get you out of stun+run. In mass pvp they still own, attacking from long range with 1-2k+ shots with kamael+real target+++ in party. The only thing that got them a bit nerfed now is the song for archer defence and counter critical but with so many buff cancel posibilites, they're still pretty good. In olympiad you can't really with unless you're highly enchanted and have atleast 1-2 epics for stun attack. Just stun stun stun untill you enemy dies. And trust me, it has a very big land rate.
