Hey there guys, i have made this topic since i couldnt find anything about it to be honest. So, i am quite nooby in L2, i have played it for some time, but only at mid rate servers with 1 hour buffs etc. So i have decided to play something that is more retail like. I am gonna play at server with x12 rates and retail like buff times, which starts on saturday.
Anyways i am realy struggling to choose a class. Now i have been playing with so many and i actually like playing with every class :( which is realy annoying and i dont rly know which one to choose. So i am stuck between a tank, WL, SH and tyrant. Now i find tank classes very interesting, tbh i moved to l2 from retail WoW server where i played a tank. So i was wondering if you guys could just tell me any pros and cons of these chars in epilogue, and their viability in leveling and especially in pvp. Also what boxed buffer would be best, i heard WC is best for fighters but what for a caster. Thanks in advance for any opinions and help :).

Man make one summoner its very good in pve pvp olyfarm and its very funny char. Choise WC for byffer.
hhm for mage class best support is SE (on low-mid-high lvl) EE(but here you dont have empower) and OL (after 3rd class but you still need recharger) if you ask me start whit 3 4 frends and you make one sps/sorce and one necro/sh + EE and OL (if you can box 52 lvl SE for 3rd empower it will be great)

A tank is a very good choice for epilogue, since it's the tank/sb/se era.
WC is also a very good support, but only if it's active, if it's not i recommend SE in every single case, even for tank because at lvl 76 you can pick up the shield buffs and 2 more.
Tyrant is a very good char too, simple, fun, strong and entertaining, nothing more to say, it doesn't rly have a con or pro, very balanced.
Warlord is rly equipment dependant and requires extremely lot of experience, mostly with polearms, SE is vital, you can't think of WC at all in this case if u want large aoes.
SH -i still think- is not that good idea in epilogue, you will be fine in pve but in pvp most classes will have brutal mdef skills and even those who don't can still get a pretty prahnah.

i make my bet for tank and tyrant for ya and an se with it

Ok thanks guys, so well i have decided to go with a tank then :) just struggling to pick one tbh, i was thinking of SK :) oh and i should be boxed with SE right? how is it better than WC though? thx in advance

i dunno how many time i said it but i'm going to say it like 50more times if i have to: since gracia final SE is the best support character
you need empower, stigma, recharge, powi and dunno how many other stuff...., if u /care on that, then go for WC, but never for PP

just that they can't rly do anything, they got spare buffs if u don't have pots and SA-buff weapons, that's all that that char is about, nothing more

yay wc is good but imo SE is veeery nice for Melee DDs - vampiric rage, bless the blood and STIGMA = owns

SE:
-got the best prophecy
-got vamp [WC tought]
-got empower
-got wm for ->
-bless the blood
-got stigma
-got lord of vampire
-got recharge and mana gain
-can get 4 other skills from the other buffers
-got a better heal
-got inquisitor stance
-got purify
-got invocation

PP:
-grmight/shield that can be obtained from WC and does not rly have a huge use since it's already weaker than the originals
-got btb that can be obtained from any staff, just not 6 [w/o the ex S86]
-got bts [ok you got me here, too bad it's not that important]
again these 2 can be obtained from OL
-zerk that can be obtained from any OL and has no other use than in pve if u got the equip
-haste2, acumen3 that can be obtained from potions
-element resist that can be easily bought
....

just not good, an SE+OL atleast totally makes up for it
but an SE itself is about 3times better than a pp

that's my conclusion

Now i chose Sk and am level 63 atm. On the way of getting focus on my samurai sword, and doing quest for A grade armor, now wats better nm or mj? Tbh i will try for both but i thought mj wud be better for exping etc. Now the part im struggling with is the dyes, i was thinking of taking away my con and adding to str for exping, but im not quite sure, i have 900 pdef with my C grade armor :P lol and i was thinking that vr shud keep me alive but not sure. I did look at other posts in this forum but didnt find anything interesting. Now also another question, wep with acumen is a must right? seeing as how lightning strike is superb spell ( in love:D) i was thinking of getting proper mage weapon and just switch around. Another issue is to at which point shud i use reflect magic while fighting with a mage? got owned today by mage hitting me 1200 :( though i was in vanguard form. Anyways, thx in advance, any tips about pvp, pve etc are very welcome. thankyou! :)
