Hey guys this is my first post here and i have a few questions about the windrider class.

Since i did read the topic about thw windrider i got pretty interested at that class but i still have a few questions about it.

1 - Wat armor use for PvE and PvP ?
2 - I didnt understand the SA and focus death thing.
3 - The dyes +4 dex +4 con -8str is used at pve too?
4 - And the last I'd ask u some good advices at pvp.

for pve:
c-mithril (plated is better but harder to get it)
b-doom
a-dc

for pvp the same, but in a grade majestic, not dc

focus death is a 30 sec long selfbuff that makes your crits +90% damage from behind... and a crit dmg sa increases your blows dmg too

those dyes are for pvp only, for pve dont use any or +dex/-con+str/-con

about tips, sry, i didnt played with wr

Ha ! , for farming use tallum plate , and only normal atack without blows (but u must have oo lv 78 with you) :wink:

we are talkin about pw , the dmg is more influenced of your crits than of your patk

for pve: c-mithril (plated is better but harder to get it) b-doom a-dc for pvp the same, but in a grade majestic, not dc focus death is a 30 sec long selfbuff that makes your crits +90% damage from behind... and a crit dmg sa increases your blows dmg too those dyes are for pvp only, for pve dont use any or +dex/-con+str/-con about tips, sry, i didnt played with wr

Thanks a lot guys! Windriders are good chars, but the lack of critical power makes theyr blows pretty gimp untill 78, when they have focus death they are great. Pve: BO focus/BO focus++ (naga storm focus on priv servers if its the same $$) Set Draconic. Pvp: The best Critical damage dager you can buy. DC light/+6 doom light. At pvp look for the robes first, use focus death and always try to aim for the back or sides of the target.

Remember that the pw is not that great at damage output from front. Aw has critical power to compensate for those -30% from front. Well the pw is very farming friendly. So at c-grade you can get mithrill, or plated, or i'd suggest theca because you will spend a lot of time soloing. Parties don't really welcome you. As a weapon don't hesitate on dark screamer focus. B-grade doom light set of course, with kris focus. At a-grade get dc light with bloody orchid focus. S-grade of course draconic and as haste. For pvp... C-grade theca + crystal dagger critical damage. B-grade doom light + demon sword critical damage. A-grade don't even think about anything else but maj light and soul separator critical damage. S-grade: STICK WITH MAJ LIGHT. It's essential for that stun resist. Draconic is good for dagger-tanks (observe the irony). So only for th which has a shitload hp and can only go melee or backstab to win. Weapon angel slayer critical damage.

Why to use maj.light on a wind rider and not nm.light?

a grade i would preffer to use nm light, cause in farming you will need hp, and nm light gives passive vampiric rage, remember to have bow in inventory, you're damage with it will equal to damage done sr (the distance only sucks, same as sr+rapid shot) as dye i would put +4str +4dex -8con , have weapon with critical damage sa and try to get zaken and queen ant ring (others are harder to get) my opinion based on farming, but it's usefull and on pvp, ofcourse if you have cp pots and ghp to boost cp/hp recovery (i didn't used to put dye +4wit -4int, because i dont think what that is very useful, because in pvp entanglement land rate is more crucial than it's casting speed)

I have only one advice. Do not ever use dark screamer + focus. Use Grace Dagger + Focus. Looks prettier ^^ As a PW u lack of P.atk, so u will have to get Plated leather set. It can be used from 40 - 62 even is Apostate. Get a Shilien Saint 78 with u, and u can solo very well, your backstabs will take a very good effect, and SE will recharge u damn good. SE is sooo good, that it allows u to switch vicious stance on, and u don't have to turn it off, because 2-3 recharges and u are full with mana.

Maybe P.atk? Well i think YES! So if u put +4 str dyes on and +4 str from PL set u will have 44 str which is 15% increase in your p.atk. If u wear doom light set and use +4 dex dye, that means +7% critical rate, which is not bad, but i still prefer P.atk, because yout base crit rate is still very high. So let's count. Which is better. Making a little more critical with the same damage, or making normal amount of criticals with greater damage? I choose power for pve... No offense, but i think for leveling P.atk is basically more important than dex. Of course this setup SUCKS in pvp, i admit.
