if undestand all STR is most important thing even for the dagers probably we will have to use a new dye like -9 DEX +5 STR +4 CON and my skils will be not faster but everytime i hit i will make critical or leanthal with -9 str i make each time critical and 3:1 leanthal what i will make with +9 STR every hit leanthal or something?
-9 DEX? Feel like raping your blow land rate eh?

Well, it's now known for sure so this argument is over.

1. STR does influence skill critical rate.
2. DEX DOES NOT INFLUENCE BLOW LAND RATE, SKILL CRIT RATE OR WHATEVER.

DEX
affects Atk. Spd., Critical and Speed stats through the DEX modifier
each point of dex gained makes around a 1% difference to each of those three stats except at 43 DEX, where there is a jump of almost 2%
affects both Accuracy and Evasion stats directly
amount gained through each point of dex varies, but as a general rule you can expect between .75 and .45 of accuracy and evasion per point of dex gained
the more dex you have, the less of these two stats you will gain by adding to dex
affects shield block rate
Rumored to affect excellent shield defense rate

ONLY THESE. In c4 dex did influence blow land rate, but it's a general fact that it's not available anymore. I did researches in the past, so i have to know.

SO, if i did -dex on a dagger, i'd be concerned about my speed, not about my blow land rate.

Again no hard evidence about what u are saying, yes most of us know what part of your char are influenced by basic stats. The formula is out there somewhere :) when some1 gets feel free to post. For me STR influences skill land rate like: stun shot , armor crush , bleed meaning phisical atack curses. If u just think a little the answer is prety simpple.

* Mage curse land rate are modified by what ? INT ( which in fighter chars is STR )
* Mage spell crit rate is modified by what ? WIT ( which in fighter chars is DEX ) Why do i think that ppl will swap the modifier for the different classes ?
STR with skill mastery influences land rate - which in daggers are the skills. Now lets talk what is a dagger skill its a strong crit atack so many ppl get confused and think that its modified by dex in C4 maybe it was now its on the base skill formula and is modified by STR - cause daggers need skills to land not to crit :) cept backstab ofc. My opinion is:

Skill land rate - modified by STR
Skill crit rate - modified by DEX

str influences skill land rate
the reason why daggers arent affected by it is to avoid overpowerment

Listen, i'm gonna turn berserk here. Str only influences patk and skill critical rate. NOTHING ELSE.

I'm really turning berserk. IF and IF STR influenced skill land rate, then WHY THE FUCK do all the glads do -9 dex for +str and +con? Ah i get it they're all assholes right? Glad skill success rate is, how you know it, 100%. Skill critical rate influenced by STR, there's no evidence? No there isn't CLEAR EXPOSED PHYSICAL evidence. That's a fact, and if you have the nerves to check it out fine! I have checked it a long time ago when i didn't believe it, and i found out that it's exactly as i say.

Look... Go try it, i'm not here to convince you by words, nor i have the patience to try it again.

And you're not 100% right about the mages either! Curse land rate influenced by MAGIC ATTACK THROUGH THE INT MODIFIER, so it's not BY int, it's THROUGH int, it's a BIG BIG difference.

Who turned u in to a hero all of the sudden just post what u suposably tried some SS maybe and keep your mouth shut about stuff u dont know for sure. About u going berserk or not - u think anyone cares ?

STR

Increases amount of physical damage.

DEX

Increases attack speed, physical skill speed, accuracy, evasion, critical hit probability, success rate of dagger skills (such as Deadly Blow), shield defense success rate, and movement speed.

CON

Increases maximum HP and CP, HP recovery speed, weight limit, underwater breath gauge, shock resistance, and bleeding resistance.

INT

Increases damage of magic attacks and success rate of curse spells.

WIT

Increases chance of magic critical hits, casting speed, resistance to Hold, resistance to curses (such as HP degeneration, decreased HP recovery rate, increased skill re-use time, and decreased effect of heals).

MEN

Increases magic defense, maximum MP, MP recovery speed, poison resistance, and curse resistance. Decreases probability of magic interruption.

Thats C4 ^

Str seems to influence skill critical rate. Did the test, seems like that.
Dex used to help with skill land rate back in C4.

Nothing else to say.

wtf, everything is so mixed up here!

someone says critical rate and others say critical landing...
some say skill landing and others skill critical landing...

could you all clear up the topic that you are discussing?
the main question here was "what stat affects skill critical landing?"

anyway, for those who do not know...
critical rate and critical landing and critical are all one and the same!!

@icarus---> the success rate of landing magic curses(i.e. silence) is affected by m.atk, and m.atk is affected only by INT. meaning the higher the INT you have, the higher chances you also have to land curses...

anyway, i think paagrio is right about STR has effect on physical curses
(i.e. shield stun)...

here is the basic logic of stats...

STR - physical damage(including critical damage), physical curse success rate
INT - magic damage, magic curse success rate

DEX - atk spd, spd, shield def, crit rate
WIT - cast spd, magic crit rate

CON - max HP/Cp, weight limit, HP/CP recovery, physical curse resist
(i.e. stun), magic curse resist(i.e. poison), pdef
MEN - max MP, mdef, magic curse resist, MP recovery...

also, i've tried and tested this...
FOR DAGGER USERS, STR DOES NOT affect the success of landing mortal blow type skills...
it is affected only by DEX and skill mastery...

lmfao... wtf does STR have to do with stun land rate lol...
On skills like that its simple... its Stun's level versus:
target's level/CON/equips that may give resists/buffs like resist shock.

Critical rate comes from DEX since day 1
But SKILL CRITICAL RATE SEEMS to come from STR

And plax plox, if you really believe STR helps with stun's or w/e land rate
do the test and bring proof to support your 'facts'
