Now the thing is guys that you all are going like OMG SWS RAPES @ OLY. The truth is - he doesn't. Only oly that sws can participate in is class based because than daggers/archers/orcs/duelists/summoners/buffers/necros come with their epic jews, armor sets +6+++ and overenchanted skills you can do pretty much NOTHING even if you are with full epics, IC set, DB+focus, FB+Focus (or others prefer bloody orchid, naga storm + focus but I only would recommend them over FB if they are rly overenchanted, like +8 or more), SOES focus, btb, and HK mental, regen yourself. And as for dyes, since you are going to class based only,all you rly need is +5 dex -5 con +4 str - 4 con couse other SM's wont stun you for sure and going for +5 str is just plain stupid imo because you will still go for IC eventualy which gives +2 str -2 dex. Ofc most of you will be thinking OMG with IC set that leaves you with -9 CON +3 dex and +6 str. -9 CON OMG OMG. But if you think it through, as playing for sws in mass battles, do you ever get targeted first??? NO you get targeted like last or second to last and even if you RUSH and get targeted first all you need is just to press on skill that says Ultimate Defense fast enough, and everyone will leave you alone, becides at 78, with full buffs, including cov and vitality song you will have like 7-8k hp + over 2K of p.def if with heroic valor wich isnt too bad, huh? As for pvping with self buffs sws just doesnt have enough p.atk (even with drac bow) to overcome CP potion spam. I once pvped a dagger and a tank with clan hall buffs, the fight raged out like for 15 mins and I managed to kill the dagger since he didnt have any CP pots but fighting with the tank we bouth got borred eventualy and just soed out because none of us had the p.atk to make a kill.
Actualy if you are in party with DD's in pvp your main job is to keep party with songs all the time, next is to res ppl if healers are dead/busy, third is good use of the Arrest skill, and last is to do some damage because with +4 str, full fighter buffs and a drac bow + f you will only have ~2k p.atk. (not much).
If you end up in mages party, well, sing, res and just take some dagger for atk.spd and spam Arrest on enemies because w/o fighter buffs your attacks are pretty useless and not even worth wasting SSS.
So this is how I roll on sws and in the end I would like to say that sws is all about your playing style, atleast for dyes that is, because you can always go for +5 con +4 men if you are a tank wannabe I hope this helps, GL HF and sorry for gramar mistakes, not a very good english speaker.

Damn man...u forgot dwarfs. In u'r opinion ... i'm sure ... dwarfs own sws too. Don't forget sws is still half tank/half buffer....and omg archers ... daggers they are really nerfed in oly. Dagger better but still...Dunno who terrrized u with their +6 sets and full epics all this time but ... be real.

About the weapon for a sws what do u think of two handed sword? Shield mastery low ... 2 soo a two handed sword will work out fine.?

Well I'm assuming you have a noblesse sws char and participate in oly if you are telling me to "be real"?

Anyway... about those two handed swords... well you can use one if desperate but that low shield mastery you are calling bad rly pwnz. Even for mages who doesnt have any shield mastery at all shield is a great thing and for sws who has HIGH DEX + some shield mastery it is almost a must.

That's why i'm asking. Nope, not yet noblesse and not yet in oly and 1st time with sws as main. That's why i'm asking opinions and advices and i apreciate any post that will say something usefull. Btw ty 4 tip on shield. I'll really think it through. Thing is sws is somewhat of an volatile char (can use many weapons armours etc...) not like other classes for example archer or dagger ... that's why i'm asking for u'r opinions here (plus i admit i never played sws as main char and especially in oly). I told u to be real...cause sws is a hard pray for archer even in open field with buffs...and i've had noblesse archer too, full epic and sh1t (although +6 set...v hard to get unless u know a secret -->>> Pm if u do ) and still archers are one of the worst classes at oly after dwarfs plus if u wanna find a topic on how is that archer compared to the other or dagger compared to .... or mage or Duelist imba char u can find n pots on this forum that's why u can read, think and pick the strategy, tips, posts u like or are logic and lets say i start playing today..i read posts see 100+ topics on how glady imba etc... and i pick glady and have a strategy and some guidelines just from reading half of that posts (on every of this topics there is at least 4 posts in wich u can find 2-3 DIFFERENT combos for difrerent classes and +oo strategies. See what i mean? ). What i'm trying to do here is to get some opinions see what other ppl think and maybe try to atack hero status on my srv with u'r help. Only think that's unrealistic 'bout u'r post in my opinion is archers > sws and the +6 sets. For me there were always almost impossible to got a few to 0->best case scenario (if i didn't break armour). A plus 10 s weapon i've seen but + 10 armour...never. Would be realy imba.

So gratz for help and tips. Don't mind if i spoke my mind in previous post. Everybody has the right to an opinion and i think sws is a promissing char - not best at oly but above average just cause it can use many weapons has some buffs in + and it's a semi tank. it can never atack the supremacy of some classes but it's above average and just need to be more prepared and witty than my main competitor and have a good ally (in case of donations). Soo if after some good posts i find something that will help me do that than half the work is done. Btw picked sws cause it's a bit rare char as main and cause clan lacked this class more than others and i like new things...and don't get me wrong ppl but all the "moguls" here have always have had something to comment or share on topics on aw, duelist, necro, DVP, MVP, NVP etc. And here i'm trying to appeal to u'r PRIDE as l2 pro players does no1 here have some real advices (except the general guidelines from serenity)??? . Hope this startegy works .

Didn't call u a noob. Just have different opinions bout some things although maybe u are right cause u obvioslly have more experience on this class than me. Just don't agree that sws is such a sh1tty class. C'mon man, same equip self buff an archer will not own u.

Sws + 2handed sword can rly pown,cuz of the arest. Got OMFGWTFROFLCOPTEROPAWNED by a sws that way. ( i was HE)

sextoy I didnt say sws is a bad class because if I would think that way, would I be playing sws for a year+ now? It's just as you said yourself - sws is avarage at oly. And you know what avarage means? If no luck and you will end up with opponents that you rly cant kill at the end of the month you will be with 0 points, if with luck I would say you will be with ~50 max. And the other sws's from your enemy ally if smart will go to CB and feed one guy and that guy will end the month with ~100 oly points. Thats what smart allys do, this is what I do and this is what my enemys does. Thats all there is to it.

And Cookie about that sws pwning you with 2H sword... He could have done the same thing (if not better) with 1H sword + F and + shield he would have ended up with 2x more HP/CP. Shield+HV armor+Deflect arrow > Arrows.

try arrest and pwn Malee Fighter with Crit Stun Spear :p
