I've played a few servers where spoil is somewhat broken.
And I was wondering if it was a common knowledge around the community.

So here is the deal.

It seems that changing the spoil rate from x1 mess things up for some spoils
First time I experienced this was on a 15x rate server.
I realized that items that were originally 1/15 were really hard to get even thought they should be 100%.
And noticed that some other items that should have been decently easy to get such as some B recipe were nearly impossible to get.
That was the second server I ever played.
All of the good quality server I played didn't have that problem.
Also doesn't seem to be a problem for l2J.

So it seems that depending on the rates some items might become nearly impossible to get depending on the rates.

Is this a known thing and what type of server does it happen with?
Everytime I go on a server I test this out and I will never join a server that has that problem.
And even if you tell the community about this problem they always say every site in the world has wrong drops and that I'm wrong.

yeah it is fairly common on OFF based servers and the admins tell you nothing is wrong because they do not know how to fix the problem or are too lazy since it requires some work. The system has troubles handling spoils that go over 100% and bugs out.

One example for devs is L2ScriptMaker that have the option "max 100%".

It is the same situation like spoil.
A simple way to change the rates is ( as an example: l2off vanganth ext. ):

Change the chance of spoil/drop from l2server.txt
If you want to change the mats spoil/drop, copy all mats names from l2scriptmanager or itemdata
[steam]
[animal_bone] and so on...

Add the list into l2scriptmaker ( special list of items ), select only ( change amount only for special items ), add min and max amount and Voila !

But you should keep in mind that you need a 1x npcdata, this thing is really important.

These problems of some servers came from the developers fault, it's easy to make the rates to looks normally, without any problems.
Another problem came from GC quests, the rate is too lower, many doesn't know how to decompile the ai, change the rates and compile it ( or change it directly from ai.obj ) .

P.S: I think I transformed this topic in a dev zone.
Have a nice day everyone !
