Any 32-bit application can be run under a 64-bit operating system. Problems begin to appear from 16-bit (or older) programs. |

32-bit ones? Yeah, some of them contain 16-bit instructions aswell so they won't work. The point is that 16-bit programs can be run under a 32-bit os. That's why many apps from windows xp x32 wouldn't work on x64. That's the main reason why x64 was exclusively for server platforms for a looong time. |
