Well it seems like crystal is needed for buying/creating items.

So how do you do turn your item into crystals? I've been hearing about it but can't fully grasp the concept so can you please tell me step by step? (noob about this topic)

Also, are common items can be crystallized? or only the basic items? If you crystallize a C item, will it become a C grade crystal?

Thanks in advance.

yea if u crystalize C u will get C crystals ... so there are 2 ways to get your weapon crystalized
1.enchant it...if the enchanting fails your weapon will get crystalized
2.warsmith(in gracia bounty hunter too) can crystalize items...they break it and get crystals

when enchantment fails, you get a certain number of crystals THAT ARE WORTH HALF THE ORIGINAL PRICE OF THE WEAPON(when the crystals are sold of course)...
so yeah, it is not worth it...
one thing more, if the item is enchanted(or OE), and the next enchantment fails, the item produces more crystals than having it crystallized by a dwarf...

@quatro: common items can be crystallized... but you get a small fraction of the quantity of superior items(those that can be enchanted) that are crystallized...

from pmfun DB:
superior stiletto -> 884 c-crystals
common item: stiletto -> 40 c-crystals

I see.. I think get the hang of it. So if your enchantment fail, the weapon/armor will crystallize right. But that is after raising it beyond +3 right? (then I still have to buy a EW or EA)

BUT this enchantment won't work on common item right?

As for warsmith and bounty hunter, then you have to ask them to do it or are they like player character who sit idle around doing that (like the personal creation). IF I have to ask them... then I better find and befriend a drawf in Aria.

Waait. When it crystallizes because of a failed enchant you only get HALF of the weapon's value in crystals.

HALF THE VALUE IN ADENA to be exact...

for example:
your c-grade weapon costs 5m in NPC...
if the enchantment fails, and the weapon is crystallized, you will get a number of crystals which, when sold, should be approximately equivalent to half the buying price, which is 2.5m at least...

w8... if you have a dark screamer for example, and use the skill crystallize on it,you will get his original crystals value, like 2000...
if you over-enchanted it to +3 -> +4 and he broke you will get half of the original crystals value, arround 1000...
anyway,if ur dark screamer faild at +10 -> +11 you will get more crystals... the value increase if ur enchantment up...

you got it wrong...

as an example again:
assuming the dark screamer costs 5m...
you use crystallize(dwarf skill) on it and get 1322(from pmfun db) pcs of crystal c-grade...
if your sell all the 1322 pcs of crystal c-grade, you should approximately get approximately 2.5m, which is half the price when you bought the weapon...

you can say that:
if your weapon is crystallized, you are refunded with crystals that is worth half of your spendings for that weapon...

and also, higher enchantments will lead to production of more crystals...
so, if +10 -> +11 fails, it will produce more crystals than a +0 weapon crystallized by a dwarf...

well, you can sell the crystals in the NPC...
but, you'll get more profit by selling the crystals to other players...
it depends on the economy of the server you're in...

in L2 SEA - Aria server[Gracia Patch]:
-> crystal d-grade can be sold to NPC for 600a each, but you can sell it to other players for 700a each...

-> crystal c-grade can be sold to other players for 3300a each, but can be sold to NPC for just 2500a - 2800a each...

you get the idea...
but since we play on different servers, prices are probably different...

ofcourse so the theory about the half of the cost of crystals sucks since most of servers are very different

well, the point is, if the enchantment fails and your weapon breaks, you get a refund...
in which, theoretically, the refund is equivalent to at least half the price of the weapon...

i think this system is better than other MMORPG...
in other MMORPG, when your weapon breaks, its gone, and without any refund...
