They are dark and shady, so i think they are the best assassins.
SH is the most lunatic crazy mage, who is really able to make effects of magic visible. SO the Queen od darkelves is SH, but the King is AW.

without offence but i cant see where is his good point
1. fighter bufs
wow vamp .. wc is better cuz he have all that have se + more
2.mage buffs
wow emp and wm .. there are a lot of ppl makin se/pp but still ol/ee have the same bufs + powa
3. heal/recharge
the greater heal sux , the recharge .. ok but still i would go for an ee in this way
...

Not the strongest of the dark elfs.
See this way: a king normally isnt the strongest person in is kingdom, but had some kind of leadership over an important aspect of his society.
The most important aspect of dark elf society is the belief in Shilen and the constant reverence for that godess, hence an Shillien Elder should be the leader, because he knows better their godess.

hmmm... maybe the combination? WC is only good for fighters until 79, when he gets magnus chant - good, but emp+wm still better imho. And the heal sucks even more.
OL+EE may have the same buffs, but that are two chars, not one, and OL gets emp veeeery late
it is the only char that has usefull buffs, recharge and heal at the same time. And since gracia SE can deal very good dmg as well
