Proudly presenting Project Lipo

Well i was preparing a big text with all the fancy words and beautiful pictures to persuade you that this is something new and unique, but nooo. You see, everybody can hide something behind big words but not everybody can offer something truly amazing, and in this case, words can't describe what Project LIPO is about.

So, if you want to see something interesting check this out. You will forget everything else that is related to Lineage 2.

What is Project Lipo?


Project LIPO is a fragment of a game inside our beloved world of Lineage 2. It's set in the Principle Universe, long before the official Lineage 2 lore. It expands with Time-Limited Chapters and the story of each is determined by players throughout their gameplay.

When the world was formed 2 different energies had immersed, the Yin and Yang. The former created the Dark Elves, the Orcs and the Dwarves while the latter made the Humans and the Elves. Each faction wanted power and control and so the war begun...



Mining, Crafting & Fishing

There are so much more than just fighting. Each activity has content that you just can't do all and each is essential to faction's growth and dominance. Devote yourself to one, and become the best one there is...

Nexus & Neutral Object

Each faction has a Nexus that contains their natural energy. Every Sunday a siege takes place that gives the opportunity to a faction to destroy the enemy Nexus. The attacking faction is the one with the most weekly captures over the Marmoreal Altar...



CLASSES

There are 11 different classes and each one can be undertaken by all races with only type restrictions.
Each class has unique skills that favor some playstyles while punish others. Every class offers a different perspective into the game and one thing is certain.
Each one is a hell of a lot stronger with P skills!

As a player, you will be able to choose your class at level 20, although you will be able to change it at levels 40, 76 and later.

Yes it is pretty nice idea and the maps also are modified to make it like a faction war.

It's a very interesting project, but it feels like a pre-alpha more than a fully fledged faction server.

There are some quests that are poorly thought out, where you're stuck killing dozens of mobs that are 15 levels below you, and then there are quests during which you need to prevent yourself from gaining extra levels otherwise you can't finish them. It's weird. Also, Raid drops are required for solo quests that give garbage rewards, so it's really, really weird.

Then the class balance and skill limitations. The server feels like a half-made, bugged out classic server. Too few skills and some classes aren't even unique, they're just limited regular classes (shaman is a warcryer without chants, Ranger is an archer with half the skillset, same for dagger). There's nothing unique, no debuff oriented class, hardly any buffs, no bard (which would be a cool addition with mixed songs/dances like GoD) and really, really boring PvE. Also, mage balance among themselves is funny, two of them have servitors, one of them has a prophecy, and it's interlude so elements hardly make a difference in PvP. Could have just made an "Elementalist" class, and give it all 3 elements with increased cooldowns so he can "spellweave" different spells.

Mobs hardly have any special attacks, so it's a mindless grind, and not a lot of options for AoE or party farming/exping. Also the drops are all over the place, lvl 1-20 was a breeze, then 20-25 they barely drop an herbs, and once you get to the lvl 30-35 mobs, it's a breeze once again. Really imbalanced.

There are some good things though, mining, crafting and fishing are well thought out for the most part, but it needs extensive work and more options and rewards added.

I will be submitting some suggestions on the Discord server, because like I said, the project interests me, but there's so much stuff to do to actually make the server fun... I know it's only one guy working on it, and I will give him props for the work he's done, but he's gonna need help to deliver a server that is different and unique, especially when compared to classic servers that have so much more content to keep players happy.
