We are proud to announce the first ever Classic 1.0 private server "Talking Island", encouraging everyone to experience with us the real Lineage 2 gameplay.

Now, you might be happy to hear this news, but let's not get carried away, there will be an open beta for a period before we can enjoy going live.

BETA

Our open beta will be quite different from the casual one. It will be structured on 3 stages, starting from 15.01.2015, 16:00 GMT+1 with the first stage.


OBT - Stage 1

This first stage will be only between level 1 ~ 25. The goal for the beta testers is to test everything up to there: quests, skills, farming areas, towns, npcs and report any issues they find on our forums. At level 25 a popup will appear to congratulate you for completing the first stage.

I tested this server and I can confirm the Classic 1.0 files pack they are using which is most likely the one koreans/russians used on their closed beta test servers (so there still are a few things that have to be "fixed")



In a few words, is the same situation as few years ago for rpg-club and their CBT "Gracia Final" files.

Would be a lot nicer if the dialogue boxes were in English and not Russian, aside from that I will be keeping an eye on it.

dont tell this is same as korea and russian classic.... cause its not even close to classic, so much custom and mixed chronicles stuff, all interface from goddess... c0 c1 is like day and night compared to ru/korea classic. also it is insane grind without shots. seen tons of stream from ru classic, even top cp's in europe left it after citadel opened, cause it was painfull gameplay. dont waste time.

can u give more info about chronicle and rates? about chronicle update etc?

They are the same files that Innova RU is using for their Classic L2 1.0 system, slightly outdated but functional. I admit Classic L2 is nothing like the original game, heavily modified while still using the current game core; Light/Dark Sieges, no Seven Signs, Shots and a recoded SA and Augmentation system for "D" grade gear.

But yes, it is nothing like the original L2 and it will never be but I would try a x3 Classic server as opposed to the 0.6x rates they have in Korea and Russia.

What stops me and several friends from trying it further is that all the NPC dialog and quest text are 100% Russian; the game client however is in English.

As I said, they are using the same files koreans/russians use but they just have to "update" some things from retail like client to Classic 1.0 client.

As for the EU players, they didnt quit ru classic because of citadel but because of its 99% ru community and too hardcore gameplay.

L2 classic 1.0 is a rly competitive chronicle, all the big russian clan joined it but the 1x EXP makes it rly hard (is like a 0.3x interlude) and the adena/item drop rate is rly low aswell (like a 0.07% interlude)


The main things that makes this chronicle so hardcore are: not using shots in pve / dropping gear when you die / low drop rate of items/adena.

OBT - Stage 2

This stage will allow players to level up to 35 and explore all the towns up to Dion with all the surrounding areas.

We've reached over 1050 accounts so far on the first stage. Many thanks to all the beta testers.

Important: There will be no WIPE between OBT stages only before live.
