You need a hatchling which has earned lvl 55 in order to start and complete this quest.

1. It is critical that you keep your hatchling summoned and DO NOT forget to feed it.
Always be sure to have the hatchling near you before you talk to any of the quest NPCs.

If you do not do these two things and you talk to any of the quest NPCs you will be told, in a system message, that the quest is ABORTED and you are the lucky one who has to start the quest all over from the Hunter's Village.

To begin, go the the Hunter's Village and talk to the wise man: Cronos. He is standing near one of the ramps to the left of the Gatekeeper (if you are facing her).

Teleport to the Northern part of the Enchanted Valley and speak to the fairy Mimyu. She is under the third waterfall at the end of the long path.

DO NOT kill any of the mobs on the way, just in case it voids the quest. They are not aggro.

Talk to the fairy, take the 4 leaves and visit the trees as described.

The trees are grouped fairly close together in the ring of peaks south of the Hunter's Village.

1. Simply talk to the tree with your hatchling near you. In the discussion you will give the tree a leaf and you should see a system message indicating that the hatchling has drank the sap of that particular tree. There is no way to get the hatchling to attack the tree.
Now move away from the tree and kill the 6 tree guardians that appear. Rez the hatchling if it is killed. If you kill the guardians quickly this should not be a problem.

Move on to the next tree. and repeat the process.

I completed the quest following the order of the trees that the fairy told you to drink from, but I doubt the order matters.

After you vist the 4 trees and the hatchling drinks the sap, go back to the fairy Mimyu in the Enchanted Valley (Northern Section).

***You might want to remove any items your hatchling is carrying before you talk to the fairy Mymyu. ***

She will "transform" (replace) the hatchling into a Strider
Yeah ! The quest is complete.

When Mimyu replaces the strider, the control item , a flute, is replaced with a horn and the strider will need to be summoned in order to appear.
