i have an idea how to make spamming for advertisers harder
what if we make a blacklist of keywords that cannot be inputted in topic name

nice idea but there is too many words that can be inputted so how are you going to forbid all of them?? I think you are not going to success with it...but I m glad someone is trying to do something with it

In my opinion the best way to limit the spammers is that the person can´t make a new topic unless he has certain postcount...for example 50 or 100...doesn´t matter really :D think about that

problem then is that they will wake up dead topics by increasing their postcount in them, and by doing that they advertise also, and we will lose many new members, since most that join the forum don't wanna wait until they get a high post count to ask their question

edit: I think godsends idea was good, I'm sure it can't block all advertisers, but atleast it will block some of them

There are shitloadz of ideas that could make life harder for spammers, using mb half of them should make it impossible, this one isnt teh best but also good, voted ofc for yes.

Making interval between topics, e-mail confirmation of registration with 1 day delay, those keywords, and few more, and there wont be any spammer left but nothing was implemented atm :/

I say that people with a postcount under 3907 shouldn't be able to make new topics..

Srsly now: I think it would be a good idea.
