Trick and switch means that skill is involved. These days you can win vs a glad because of evasion. I lol'd at you.

yes, and caras said "trick & switch = skill", like players' skill in order to be good.
but nowadays, "u can defeat glad by evasion" which means game is so fucked up that it doesn't require skill anymore. hence the lol.

What idool said. In many cases you don't even need to get behind your opponent anymore.

Imo, not the chronicle made us have so much fun but the fact that back then, most of us were newbies, had no idea what this game stands for and each day we were discovering new things, such as soulshots or new hunting grounds. +1 for those good old times ! :)

That should still apply for the new chronicles, but it doesn't. When you discover instances and sh1ts it should bring u the fun that u got when u discovered soulshots. Wanna know why it doesn't?
Cuz it only makes u say "oh good now i'll farm for 2h, then i'll go in the other one and farm for the other part, and trade all the mats at the npc in the 3rd one later tonight". Sounds fun, eh?

Well, I was talking about the basic features that we were not aware of back then, such as soulshots, class quests, enchants etc. :) Discovering all these features have created a unique and irreplaceable feeling (miss it).

Still, this game should have captured old players' attention.

Look at wow. How do you think they managed to capture attention for such a long time? Lineage 2 had too many updates and too many changing of fundaments. Wow didn't change as much as lineage 2 did. That's the problem. New chronicles were awesome until one point. When c4 appeared everyone was OMFG! When c5 appeared everyone was OMFGLMAO. When interlude appeared there was mixed criticism. Many were OMFG but many were also lol wtf gladiator imbalanced? Then there was kamalol which attracted more negative thoughts than positive. Hellbound was a worthy successor to interlude. Kamael was simply a sketch chronicle. And after that everything fell apart. Damage got fucked with attributes, people started complaining and left. All my rl friends left in gracia.

Gracia pt2 was the most balanced and fun chronicle after interloude imo and the only one I would play in a good server if I were to choose one of the K+ chronicles

But I still preffer Interlude, despite the new chronicles having really good features and mechanics that I love and if combined with interlude would make the game bombastic :D

Old school...

Im playing since C1 and my opinion it's clear - L2 just ended at IL.

If only there was any c3-IL server with good files, nice support team, high community...
