yeah, it brings some of the features I look for in game, but still not what I was expecting from L2 when i heard about it. When a friend told me about the game, I thought u had to aim and actually have to powerfully control ur char to succeed. Then I started to be disapointed when I saw all u had to do was chose a target and attack. I played a lot of CS back then, and I thought L2 was kinda FPS, but RPG style Im still very disapointed, and I feel kinda "sad" to play a game against some eBayers that kill u with no skill at all, and just cos they have the best things of the game (and are rich spoiled kids with awesome WTFOWNZAT0RXTPO2000CRPT-DDII4 computer), but thats what we have and I still like it and wait for improvements. And this new range thing is going to make the difference in lineage, I think NCSoft is going the right way, now they need a better targeting system (e.g. cant /target players out of peace zones, or flagged/wartags), they also need a better hit system, the range of attacks should be higher, but losing power with the range (its not the new range dependant system) (e.g. make archer range 2k or smth, but after 1k, each 1 unit it loses 0.1% of power (the arrow would lose speed, thus losing power), so when it reaches 2k the arrow will hit 0 damage (to avoid spawn killing/destroying walls safely protected).
Also about the spawn killing, I think that u should get PK if u spawn kill (a flagged guy or wartag), under a 30 second protection or smth.
Also about sieges, the walls and doors should have a regen, I dunno if they have, but if they do, it should be higher, so a WS will be REALLY usefull in sieges, so that just couple of guys cant take down a door. Also, I dont like the seal system, holding a castle brings a lot of responsability and its a remarkable thing in any low rate server. I think that to take a castle u would need to complete a series of tasks (like in siegable CHs), but not NPC-related. For example, if agains NPC's, kill a certain number of NPC's to be able to seal the castle, or destroy a set number of items. Against other players, kill a set number of defending players and/or guards, destroy certain items, open certain doors (destroy or use daggers), I think this would bring a much harder work to take a castle, so that a castle lord would be a rly respected guy. For example in abyss, our CL, that has Innadril since the first siege (back in 2006). ppl dont say "hey, that guy is a good player, he has a good clan, he was hero, he has a castle" NOOOO, ppl say everything except the "he has a castle". With this much more challanging system, castle lord would be respected as they should be xD

It will never be balanced, since a char is for example pvp oriented, while he sucks in pve and maybe mass pvp.
And i have to admit i am pretty convinced. C5 was one of the most balanced chronicles. For example the glad. It was a hated class in c4, but they fixed it in c5, without it being op.

The best memories i had were frm c2 not because of the game but simply cause i was a naab ( not that i`m a pro now ) and every thin in the game was so amazing and fun. So yea c2 FTW if i have to choose a chrnicle for pvp that would be C5, cause after interlude introduced augmentation its not a matter of skills anymore just plain luck.

to Icarus: Well, back that time i knew shit about daggers i played a SK and my friend was an ES. i like c3 only for good old memories when i ran in circle with 20 mobs after me, then my ES friend hydroblasted twice and we earn a ton of exp
otherwise i'd go for c4, more good old memories, when i made a future se on dex, (lvl22 or smth like this) and aditzu organized a rb party. we went to lord crowl (or wtf is his name) and a buffer (me) dealt higher damage to him than anyone else ))
