option no 2 is fine, in late game also dont have nothing against S items donations - let newbies catch a bit, others will run in s80/84 in that time anyway
and what is even more important about option no1:
if u wont dontate for smthg, u will buy it on ebay or some similiar website, so i think its better to help servar

btw ppl who voted for options no 3 or 4 r in 95% ppl who simply cant afford donations such as in point no1 and r nothing more but jealous :)

fail
tho you did make a win for possibly starting a flame war

if donations wont give u possibility of getting smthg faster than im able to do the same normal way w/o donation - i dont care, none of good players wont rly care
so:
full items S in late game - who cares?
cakes - can be obtained by adena - dont care
recipes in late game - who will donate for it lol?

but big NOT for donations like bews, safe enchants

i have no problems understanding what he said
and tbh i agree with him
if there is impoved donation system that exchanges donations for ingame tradable curency that will help A LOOOOOOOOOOT to develop the sv economy and will create whole another aspect of it
for graciafinal.ru had donation coins which were obtainable by donations and u could find em on the market too
so there was infinite adena flow and adena rly meant something since coins were equal to the gold in real life-->stable material that would back up money price

agreed, but unfortunately only a few server mixes donation current with adena.

i think on a low rate server donatable full items wouldnt do harm, in fact just helps the community growing because newcomers can close-up to the oldest players, but this is only good if these donations can only be accessible after some weeks of server opening. otherwise its jsut fucks up the balance. also donatable rb jews, blessed scrolls, +16 S guns/sets and shits which you cannot normally get without a decent clan will definetly fuckes up a low rate server.

on highrate i dont really care for any donations, its easy to get shits anyway. and its fun to kill someone after he ran out of donated qhp pots.

mixing donation with adena is also good
indeed it stimulates the economy of the server
but very few have enough brain cells to think about it and even fewer to implement it on a server
most donation items are overenchanted gear or stuff that give you a massive boost ingame but impossible to get the normal way

i do agree that the guy that gave money to the server should receive some for of reward for his effort
Dex has a interresting way of doing it tho some of the options are a little 2 OP

dex have ninja donations!
making cap of 2.8k players at start and selling 12312312kk VIP accs and having the whole community trying to log on with master accs is indeed a ninja move
when dex network made enough money on arion they raised the cap so all the tards that have donated for premium accs would have a finger in their ass since now theres no use of it because there are enough free slots for whole china to enter

no, they decreased the cap back to 2.8k :)
anyway its still too high bcuz average online is not higher than 2.5k... just wait till catalin realizes that ^^

i know ull be hatin me but i voted for 1
afterall l2 gaming is business(off or private doesnt matter at all)
spending money and putting much effort to maintain a sv and keep all those whining players satisfied is not something easy
imo ur either a god damn idealist and u believe that u are created to spread happiness and joy either ur a realist and u try to get a profit (tbh i would never spend my money to make army of whining kiddos on the net satisifed)
the owners of a sv have to be motivied by smth more than "oh zis sv is pwnz" and the only thing that can ensure svs long life and constant updates IMO are donations
money rules the world and theres nothing new here
i have no problems with donations for full items if they are limited and they cost a lot
if there is a wacko guy that has money to spend on a game and that cash will go for maintaining the server(bandwidth, machine, antibot programs etc etc) so LET it be!
most votes are for useless items but meh..most successfull servers out there have always had donations for much more than masks...paradise,bfd,dex,rpg and many more

ofc if the server staff is well known and respected i would play there even if donations of type A) would be applied

I Agreed With Our Friend Here !!!

I'm fine with donation rewards that do not affect the performance of one's character, so masks, and other equipment that only changes the way a character looks like is ok for me. I'm especially against stuff like enchant scrolls, or enchanted equipment as rewards for donations.

Option no1 is absolute pure bullshit. GMs usually put some outrageous prices on full items so they can keep non-donating players in check.. making them think a very...veeery few players would donate when actually all prices vary on your ability to.. offer him 10$ for some fund vesper+16..
Flame on or shit but I frequently talk to the sv owners of a few 1k+ active mid rates and it's quite surprising how many do this.

But for the servers that really ask for the ammount on the list, I can do nothing but support them. A server doesn't run on masturbation like most of us do.

Donations or purchases are nedded if you want a good server, stable and do not close in two days.

The dedicated server costs money.
If the server wants a good web or they don't know how to develop it, costs money.
If the server is new and wants people, they need to buy ads.
If they don't have software developers, need developers (more money).
Anti bot system, geodata and pathnode and... etc.

Regards
