Hello dead PMfuners.
I play lineage from C1 , played it for a long time , until other MMORPGS came out, like Aion and such...
Lineage even after all these years has some things that are way better than most newer RPGS, Crafting, siege, and few other systems.
However PvP in Lineage is bit old schooled.

There are few things which I would like to implement in a server. First of all Lineage is a grindy game. There is no denying that. But getting an item after hard work and it being destroyed after failed enchant is terrible.
ALso PvP in lineage became rotation of just few from 30+ skills for mages, Usually, : Surender, Slow, DMG.

I would like to make new server that would have next perks:

x3 H5 server
Safe ench +3 max +12
Ench rate normal : 50%, Blessed : 50% , Crystal 100%
-Crystal scroll is dropped 1 from Epic raid bosses, Or crafted with maths obtained from new adventure like Quests that we will think of. You can enchant your wep only once a week with Crystal scroll.

Spells.:
All CC spells have 100% land rate,
Stuns:
20 sec CD - 3 sec duration (for all stuns. except some like TK/SK shield bashes, which are on 10sec cd)

Silences/sleeps/anchors: 20sec CD - 5 sec Duration.

Roots: 20 sec CD - 5 Sec duration. Except Prophet and SE who have 10sec.

Every character gets on lvl 40 skill :
1 min CD,
-Removes all debuffs, and CCs from your character and makes you immune to them for 8 sec.
-Usable while Stunned/sleeped/rooted/silenced...etc..


This is just a demo, we will tweak numbers to bring balanced gameplay, and make skill count. Being smart how and when do you use your CC-s and some classes will have some skills changed.

Cancel will have 20sec CD, removes 3 buffs 100% chance.

All Bleed/POison effects will be buffed and added aditional changes.
Bleed: decrease speed/ atk speed by 20%

Poison: Decrease cast speed by 20%

Also cast time of many skills will be improved/tweaked.


This will bring dynamic PvP expirience, where every class can beat any other, and where skill will be more important than Gear.


Ofc, OLY stays Default. In Olympiad you have normal skill CD/Effects.


Lastly, Donations, You can donnate for any Cosmetic thing.
You can donate for gear, but only till +12.

Gotta say I've been fan of a debuff rework you've been speaking of, though I'm not sure of the 100% landrate... Now I can't think of a better situation but what about e.g. Arcane Protection, which is supposed to reduce the landrate of the buff-canceling attacks? Would this effect be useless there?

But don't get me wrong, I really like the +land -duration idea, I just believe it should have some slight 'random window', e.g. 90% landrate or so :)

let say you are SPH, you have only 1 silence , You use it vs SPS, he removes it, with his "Remove CC" spell and now he cannot remove your sleep, or your party members Stun.
It can be used for making tactics, vs healers which are OP with full buffs, and similar. A good PT< can chain stun if timed properly enemy Healer and kill it, provided that their team mates dont help.

Arcane Protection would be revorked It would be Prophet skill with 1 min CD, Gives 100% CC immunity for 8 seconds.

Having prophet in group will help not having your healer killed or CCed down, or any of your important team members. Few other buffs and skils would be Changed too, so every class is usefull and has value. Instead of having people BOTting Buff classes, they would actually mean a LOT, if played correctly.

For example: Prophet skill Disrupt:
CD ; 40 sec.
-Places debuff on enemy for 10 seconds. which ticks every 2.5 sec interupting their casting dealing 5% targets HP every time they cast something.

Now if you are spamming your spells, you might get interupted every time, but if you are skilled, you can wait for it to Tick , and cast your spells in between ticks, and it wouldnt affect you much.

It would prevent long casting spells, Eg: Major Group Heal or smth similar...
See where I am going with this ?

I see, but isn't that too much customization? I mean, sure, what you're describing could definitely work, but imo many people will get turned down when they see skills being heavily reworked, more so with some custom skills being added too.

I'd say the safest approach would be to adjust these skills naturally, e.g. reduce the prophet's Spell Turning (Disrupt) reuse and casting time to minimum while increasing the MP consumption, so it can't be spammed forever but it helps you in PvP. This way you completely change the skill while being able to "sell" it as balancing rather than customization.

You are right!
For example:
1sec cd
0.25sec cast time static(you will cast it in heavy armor as fast as in robe)
Mp cost: 15% of max MP.

Smth like this is better than. You have good sense for keeping it original.
I am learning to mod and fix things, Now i only need a server... where could I get one or rent one ... i wonder...??
